Purchased Milenco Precision Calibrated Noseweight Gauge 400KG. Shipped to US Sept 2023. Prompt shipping - received earlier than expected. Good: The gauge is very useful to assist in safe trailer and hitch loading. It appears to be well built. It is sufficiently accurate for the intended purpose. Bad: This gauge is somewhat heavy, but was packaged for international shipping only in very thin, lightweight cardboard without any internal cushioning. The box was somewhat dinged, and the base was very slightly bent on one edge, but not enough to want the hassle and spend $$ for international return. That's a Fail on packaging. Testing: I did several iterations at several weights on a scale which had been calibrated by known weights. I used the nose jack to increase/decrease the weight. The scale understates the true weight when increasing the load, from 20# under at 200# load, to 0# off at 500#; the error changes roughly linearly. The scale overstates the true weight when decreasing the load, from 10# over at 200# load, to 50# over at 500#; the error changes ~linearly. So it's a max of 10% error in the range that's useful to me, and the calibration data allows me to dial it in further.
