Read this review on TrustpilotI own a narrowboat, one of the 35,000 on the system. Mine has a Thetford C200 toilet with three cassettes. One of the cassettes came with the boat in 2010, I bought the other two to make sure we were never "caught out".
Late last year two started leaking while being carried to an Elsan point. So full marks to Thetford, whose cassettes last 14 years before needing maintenance.
I looked around the internet for Thetford spare parts and drew up a spreadsheet.
Of EIGHT suppliers I found for Thetford parts, most only stock common parts and those they do stock are expensive.
Leisureshopdirect and Midland Chandlers have a comprehensive stock list, but Midland Chandler's prices are famous in the Narrowboat community.
So I ordered from Leisureshopdirect.
It took a few weeks for the full order to arrive, as one part had to be ordered in. But they kept me up to date with the status and everything finally arrived.
I refreshed two of the cassettes and, as they now work perfectly, I decided to do the third.
So I ordered from Leisureshopdirect again. Again, took a few weeks, as one or two of the seals are not commonly replaced, but they all arrived in the end, and I look forward to the cassettes lasting another 14 years. Assuming I last that long myself!
