Alde Compact 4000D Diesel Hot Air and Water Heater

The Alde Compact 4000 D delivers Swedish-engineered hydronic heating and hot water for motorhomes, caravans and campervans using your vehicle's diesel fuel supply. This dual-fuel system operates on 1-6kW diesel power, 1-3kW electric power, or both combined for up to 9kW total output. The hydronic design circulates heated glycol mixture through convectors and pipes rather than blowing air, creating silent, even warmth without cold spots or draughts throughout your vehicle.

Operating from your vehicle's main diesel tank eliminates the need for separate gas bottles or regular LPG refills - particularly valuable for extended off-grid camping or European touring where LPG availability varies. The system includes a 10-litre integrated hot water tank, dual-zone heating control for setting different temperatures in separate areas, and compatibility with various diesel fuels including EN590 and HVO100. The modern control panel provides straightforward operation whether running on shore power electric heating or diesel combustion.

Professional installation is required due to the flue system and glycol circuit complexity, with the unit measuring significantly different from gas-powered Alde models. The system suits campervans through to large motorhomes but won't retrofit easily to existing gas Alde installations due to completely different flue arrangements. Heating performance remains effective in sub-zero conditions, though initial warm-up takes longer than blown-air systems as the glycol circuit reaches operating temperature.

The boiler Alde Compact 4000 D provides central heating and hot water. The heating system contains both a diesel burner and electrical elements, and can be powered with either separately or both together.

The Alde Compact 4000 D operates in two power ranges (1–6 kW for diesel, 1–3 kW mains electric) for a combined 1–9 kW of heating and hot water. Heating is distributed via pipes, convectors and other heating accessories throughout the whole vehicle.

Heat convects upwards through air gaps, enveloping the interior in a gentle and unobtrusive warmth. Being a modular and adaptable system it is suitable for a huge range of vehicle types, from campervans to overlanders, to sports homes and luxury horseboxes. The Alde Compact 4000 D also continues Alde's commitment to supplying the UK inland waterways.
