Electric fires? Only by public demand

if your caravan has a Trumatic caravan heater with the electric heating element ( Ultraheat ) it will be natural for you to heat your caravan using only the electric elements. The cry goes out that 'I have paid for the electric hook-up so I am going to use it'.
The electric heating elements were introduced by public demand and are an 'add on' to the Trumatic caravan heater and are far less efficient at heating your caravan compared to the gas heater.
On these cold Spring evenings you will make your caravan much cosier much quicker if you run your caravan heater on gas. Do this until your caravan is up to a comfortable temperature and then switch to the Ultraheat to maintain this temperature. In larger caravans, however, the Ultraheat may struggle to cope if the temperature outside falls to frost levels.
The Trumatic caravan heater was designed as a gas heater and is far more efficient when used as such. Providing they are checked properly during your annual service they are very safe to use and can be left on all night to keep out the chill.
