Campers and mobile home owners are all getting ready and excited for the up and coming holiday season! Many are planning the best places to camp to get the most out of their summer camping. Why not visit the beautiful city of Chester and stay in the heart of the city at the race course on the 24th to the 28th March, Easter weekend………Camperfest takes place here! Many of our Leisueshopdirect customers have commented on this being one of their favourite events. It is a wonderful camping weekend that runs alongside the Chester Food and Drink Festival. Chester boasts many delights…….the beautiful Roman Walls, Chester Cathedral, Blue Planet Aquarium and it’s definitely worth mentioning the local bars, pubs and restaurants. Many are award winning! If you decide to venture any further then there are many beautiful scenic walks around the River Dee and you are not too far from the beautiful North Wales Coastline. At the show there will be a fantastic variety of activities that include a CamperFest Canines dog show, Medieval City Tours, a Sunday Funday and many more to make your Easter Weekend full of fun.

The Chester Food and Drink Festival that runs alongside Camperfest boasts an incredibly impressive array of food and drink masters exhibiting their products! Bavarian Patisserie, Apple Thief Cider, Bim’s Kitchen (modern African-inspired cuisine), A Tropical Grove, A Taste of America, Bongo’s Rock and Roll Pickles, Caarma Curries, Boston Shakers, Continental Cottage, Crafty Devil Brewing, Crazy Cow Coffee, Fruits of the Forest and Just the Cheese would be mentioning but a few. Makes the mouth water just thinking about this assortment of yummy tastes!

On the 2nd and 3rd of April 2016, don’t miss the fantastic UK Spring Motorhome & Caravan Show 2016 in Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire, NG24 2NY. In excess of 100 exhibitors and traders are going to be presenting a variety of motorhomes, caravans and camper vans in order to excite and entice the huge number fans that come on a quest to find outstanding deals, have fun and meet new friends. If you already have your mobile home and are not in the market for an update then you should still find the caravan accessories on offer at the show very tempting! On Friday evening you will be spoilt for choice with The Spinoffs ( Multi-instrumentalists and entertainers), Jay McGee (former lead-singer of 1960s British band The Rockin’ Berries and is now a very popular comedian) and Karen Noble as Dusty Springfield, singing all her biggest hits. On the Saturday evening The Spinoffs will be playing again, along with a huge hit on the comedy scene, Tank Sherman and an outstanding Beatles tribute band, The Fab 4. A second evening venue with seating and a bar is to be opened this year for those that love live music. Bingo is also on offer and for the children there are lots of activities in amongst the exhibitions, line dancing and a tea dance as well!! If you decide you need a bit of a breather from the show then there are complimentary bus trips into Newark.
Many enthusiasts will be travelling a long way to be at the UK Spring Motorhome & Caravan Show and pitches are available for all types and sizes of tents, caravans and motorhomes. This will be of particular interest to you if you are in love with any or all types of VW Transporters! Obviously the main attraction at VolksWorld is the show cars and this year like every year, VW lovers from all over Europe will be displaying their most prized possession! There are also over 100 Trade stands in three halls for you to buy products to help you restore your cars, or VW clothing and the chance to quiz the experts from the biggest brands in the VW industry. There will be tonnes of VolksWorld deals so don’t miss out on the opportunity to visit surely the biggest and best VW show in the UK. There is going to be live music throughout the days, with bands and DJs and club displays. For the children there are great entertainers, soft play areas, films to watch and slot car racing in amongst other fun events.
