Cambridgeshire site developed into nature garden

Posted by Linda Davidson

Caravan water heater owners who like to observe nature may wish to check out The Secret Garden, a Camping and Caravanning Club site.

The site in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, has been developed into a nature garden and offers visitors the chance to see woodpeckers, wrens, bats and muntjac deer from the comfort of their own unit.

Site owner, Steve Pollington, has recently installed numerous services on each of the five pitches including mains electricity, mains water and television points.

He said: "The TV service incorporates five channels of live nature-cam TV covering the nest box and general wildlife activity from within the garden."

Mr Pollington has also planted native bee and bird food habitats to provide ideal conditions for wildlife, which will ensure The Secret Garden provides entertainment for visitors.

Holgates Caravan Park in north Lancashire recently announced plans to create a new habitat for butterflies, which it hopes will help the creatures thrive in the area.
