Caravan park is in full bloom

Posted by Freddy Morton

A caravan park in Flintshire has won its category at the Wales in Bloom awards for the 19th consecutive year, those with Smev caravan hobs and cookers may be interested to learn.

Family-run business Tree Tops in Gwespyr, Holywell, has taken the top spot in the Caravans, Camping and Holiday Homes section of the annual Wales in Bloom competition for almost twenty years.

General manager Andy Walker explained that David and Christine Ball have been tending the gardens at the caravan site for the last two decades and have played a crucial role in it winning the prize year after year.

"We've got an excellent gardening team," he told the Flintshire Chronicle.

"They're very dedicated and hard working - it's their life's work, they've been doing it for 20 years. It's their passion, a labour of love. They're fantastic and I'll panic when they finally retire."

Located four miles from Prestatyn, the Tree Tops caravan park has been open since the 1960s and offers five-star standards.
