Caravan sites to remain open over the winter period

Caravan taps owners looking to get away this Christmas will be delighted to hear that the Camping and Caravanning Club has confirmed that 24 of its sites will remain open over the winter period.


Sites will offer a wide range of activities throughout the Christmas season with traditional games, quizzes, karaoke, forest walks and fancy dress parties all taking place to keep guests entertained.


Sites director, Bob Hill, said that Christmas is the perfect time to visit the sites as it provides caravanners with a great opportunity to spend quality time with loved ones whilst enjoying the countryside.


The sites that will remain open are spread across the country in Blackmore, Boroughbridge, Canterbury, Chertsey, Conkers, Delamere Forest, Devizes, Hertford, Kingsbury Water Park, Leek, Moffat, Moreton, Oswestry, Oxford, Tavistock, Teversal, Thetford Forest, Eskdale, Polstead, Ravenglass, Scone, Troutbeck, Windermere and Winchcombe.


Festive caravanners will also be able to enjoy a traditional German Christmas Market Tour, which will be run in conjunction with the worldwide travel service, Carefree.
