Caravan taps owners thinking of selling their vehicle may want to think again – new research has shown that holiday accommodation is a major bugbear for many travellers.
According to research undertaken by HolidayExtras.com, 63 per cent of customers said their main holiday gripe is accommodation.
Mike Whiting, managing editor at HolidayExtras.com, said holidaymakers should always think ahead.
"So many people book online and don't give it a second thought which can end in disappointment when they arrive and it's not what they expected.
"People should read all the reviews available as well as look at the hotel's own website to get a feel for the quality of the hotel. Travel forums are also a great way to connect with people who have also stayed at the hotel or resort," he said.
Similar research from Which? Legal Service showed that one in ten holidaymakers made a complaint about a trip in the last three years.
