Caravanners urged to sample Glaswegian hospitality at Comedy Festival

Posted by Greg Throughton

Caravan refrigeration owners who like a laugh may wish to spend some time in the Glasgow area in March, to take in the Magners International Comedy Festival.

The city's tourism body said that those who come to the festival will be able to experience the natural wit and friendly hospitality Glaswegians are famous for.

A spokesman for Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, said: "Now in its ninth year, the festival has helped catapult the city onto the map as a destination for top entertainment."

He added that this year's festival will be bigger and better than 2010 and it will offer something for everyone, suiting every budget, taste and age.

Around 450 shows will be taking place across 50 venues over 25 days from March 17th so there's a plethora of 'unusual happenings' to choose from.

"We have stand up and sketch comedy as you would expect, but there's also theatre productions, musicals, poetry, cabaret, workshops and even opera," the spokesman added.
