Caravanners urged to visit Hull

Posted by Greg Throughton

Caravan rooflights owners looking for an exciting UK holiday may wish to check out Hull and the surrounding area.

Visit Hull & East Yorkshire claims that many people who visit Hull are "very surprised" by the city and vow to return in the future.

Sharron Wilson, tourism marketing officer at Visit Hull & East Yorkshire, said that many people called the area "fantastic" despite having a preconceived idea of the attractions.

She added: "You have got coast, countryside and the city of Hull, which has got shopping, theatres, nightlife and cafes."

Ms Wilson recommended taking a trip to the countryside to take part in cycling, walking and horse riding as well as visiting the seaside town of Bridlington which offers beautiful coastal walks along the heritage coast.

The tourism organisation said that the majority of visitors to the East Yorkshire area come back for further visits and described the area as a place you have to see for yourself.

East Yorkshire could become even busier in the near future as AA Travel Insurance recently revealed that a fifth of Brits will not take a foreign holiday this year.
