Elddis Caravans announces new model

Posted by Linda Davidson

People with van equipment and accessories like 12v televisions may be interested to learn that Elddis Caravans has launched a new model of its Crusader Hurricane tourer.

The two-berth vehicle is lighter than many of the other luxury caravans available, meaning it is both more fuel-efficient and easier to store at home.

It is125 kg lighter than the equivalent two-berth model from one of Elddis Caravans' compeititors and has a user payload of 135 kg.

The new Crusader Hurricane is also the smallest vehicle on the market to be fitted with a full central heating system.

"This year Elddis has led the way with unique and innovative lightweight touring caravans - compact models that are easy to tow and manoeuvre, without compromising on build quality or class-leading specification," said a spokesperson.

It will also be available in the Diamond Jubilee range, a special-edition variety set up to celebrate the anniversary of the Queen's coronation.

Elddis has been part of the British caravan market since 1964, producing its vehicles in County Durham.
