New caravan park planned for Ludlow

Posted by Freddy Morton

People who have spruced up their caravans with new caravan taps will want to take their holidays at an upmarket site, such as the new five-star facilities hopefully being developed at Ludlow.

Morris Leisure has announced its intention to submit a planning application for a five-star touring site on the outskirts of the town next year, reports the Ludlow and Tenbury Wells Advertiser.

Located between the River Teme and the A49, the site would have enough space for 100 pitches over 20 acres.

Speaking to the newspaper, Edward Goddard, Morris Leisure's managing director said: "We are keen to develop this five-star park for touring caravans and motor homes with the support of the local community because we think it will enhance Ludlow's tourism offer and boost the local economy."

He added that there is a "pressing" need for a high-quality caravan park in Ludlow as it is earning a reputation as a national tourism destination.

Morris Leisure currently has caravan parks in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and Bridgnorth among other destinations.
