Peugeot and Citroen join forces with Tyresafe

Posted by Linda Davidson

Peugeot and Citroen have illustrated their commitment to the safety of motorists and owners of caravan accessories by becoming the newest members of TyreSafe.

The charity now has 15 vehicle manufacturer members.

Stuart Jackson, chairman of TyreSafe, has welcomed the news, saying that he hoped the brands would continue to spread the message about the importance tyre safety plays in the welfare of drivers and passengers.

"Tyre safety is a message that cannot be ignored, so it's great news to have such influential industry players joining our ever-expanding team," he added.

David Higgins, Peugeot parts and service director, echoed those sentiments, claiming that he hoped the company could make a positive contribution to reducing the number of road deaths each year.

Protyre recently advised caravan owners to do vital safety checks on their tyres before making their first journey of the year as out-of-season storage can have a detrimental effect on the rubber.
