Take a short caravan break to Blackpool

Posted by Linda Davidson

Owners of Whale caravan taps who are unsure of where to go for a short break this Easter have been urged to consider Blackpool.

A spokeswoman for visitBlackpool said that the coastal town is "the place to be" this summer, particularly as the UK is set to experience high temperatures in time for the bumper bank holidays.

"With seven miles of golden sands, Blackpool has something for everyone – from thrills, excitement and family entertainment to historic gems, beautiful gardens and stunning beaches," she enthused.

The spokeswoman said Blackpool is fast gaining a reputation for world-class events such as gigantic firework displays, the annual airshow and the National Armed Forces week.

Of course Blackpool would not be Blackpool without the world-famous illuminations "including the steel arches of Brilliance", she added.

Blackpool also offers a range of camping and caravan sites, many of which offer guests a choice of shops, restaurants and both indoor and outdoor pools.
