Caravan accessories owners 'believe dogs should be allowed on camp sites'

Posted by Linda Davidson

The majority of caravan accessories owners overwhelmingly believe that dogs should be allowed on caravan sites, new research has shown.

A survey by Caravan Times has found that 93 per cent think that man's best friend should be allowed on caravan holidays, with nearly three-quarterssaying that visiting a site without their pooch would be boring and of no interest to them.

Despite this, 79 per cent support the use of fines to punish people who let their dogs foul camp sites and a large proportion felt that the animals should be kept on leashes.

The newspaper added: "Roughly half of our readers think that sites are profiteering from dog owners and fail to provide sufficient facilities in exchange for the extra fees paid."

caravan accessories owners will also be glad to discover that Out & About Live has reported that the industry is going from strength-to-strength at the moment, with the recent Caravan Salon Dusseldorf show seeing a rise in both visitor numbers and sales.
