Caravanners urged to explore Guernsey

Posted by Linda Davidson

Caravan refrigeration owners have been urged by VisitGuernsey to take a trip to the Channel Island and explore the island at leisure.

Jason Moriarty, marketing manager, trade and media, for the island's tourism board, said that the island has a lot to offer, from is bustling harbour, to its castles and museums further inland.

He suggested that visitors "explore the cobbled streets and learn more about the fascinating history of the port".

Mr Moriarty noted that the not to be missed sites on Guernsey include Hauteville House, Castle Cornet and the Guernsey Tapestry as well as the Little Chapel, which is possibly the smallest chapel in the world.

Caravan refrigeration owners may also wish to take a trip out to the countryside and experience the "flower-filled lanes of St Martin's" and the cliffs and sandy beaches which can be found in Guernsey.

Guernsey may also provide caravanners with an ideal stop off point before travelling to France as it is situated just 28 miles from the French coast.
