Ferry travel 'is flexible and convenient'

Posted by Freddy Morton

Holidaymakers with apparatus and accessories for your home-from-home such as a 12v television may like to take the ferry to Europe for a change of scenery.

One expert has suggested that there are many benefits and opportunities to using this mode of transport and said that it is good value for money and a flexible travelling option.

A spokeswoman for the Passenger Shipping Association said: "You can take more of your own personal things that will make your holiday all that more enjoyable - from that extra pair of 'essential shoes' to the pet dog."

She added that the ability to take your own vehicle gives more leaway for taking whatever you want with you for when you are away.

Ferries from England are available for journeys to the Netherlands, France, Ireland, parts of Scandinavia and other locations, and travellers can set off from various points along the coast. Providers such as DFDS and P&O ferries are some of the main companies travelling to these countries.
