Gas regulator failures

The constant problem of the bulkhead mounted gas regulators failing to deliver any gas has been investigated, and Truma have now introduced a filter that can be installed between the gas bottle and the regulator. This filter is designed to remove the oily substances which have been the main cause of the regulator failures. It is advertised that this filter will remove 99% of oily particles and therefore the number of regulator failures will be reduced dramatically. The filter has been developed using patented filter technology and the filter cartridge can be exchanged easily. A saturation display indicates when it needs to be replaced. This regulator failure has been a nuisance to so many caravanners because you get little notice of the fault. The regulator can be working fine at the end of one outing with the caravan but then fails to deliver any gas when the gas is next turned on. European regulation EN1949 has a lot of questions to answer! Did we have this problem when we fitted the regulator directly to the gas bottle? Will you be investing in another caravan accessory - a Truma Gas Filter?
