Ludlow caravan park already taking bookings

People with motorhomes and Truma caravan water heaters could already be expressing interest in a visit to a new caravan park in Ludlow expected to open in spring 2012.

The Ludlow Touring Park, which has been developed by Shrewsbury-based Morris Leisure on the outskirts of the town, is already causing a stir, according to the Ludlow and Tenbury Wells Advertiser.

Edward Goddard, managing director of Morris Leisure, said he is pleased with the amount of interest generated among the UK's caravan and motorhome communities and called this "an exciting time" for the company.

"We believe it is going to enhance the local tourism offer and generate around £1 million a year for Ludlow and surrounding area," Mr Goddard added.

The park is mooted to be open in time for the Beer, Bangers and Bread Ludlow Spring Food Festival in May 2012.

Morris Leisure owns four parks in the UK, in Shropshire and Snowdonia in Wales.
