Suffolk is perfect for 'budget holidays'

Posted by Freddy Morton

Owners of Truma caravan water heaters have been encouraged to take a family trip to Suffolk.

Sarah Quinlan, owner of Suffolktouristguide.com, said there are plenty of things to do for families and people on a tight budget.

She explained that tourism in the region has increased recently, adding that the caravanning and camping sectors in particular have proven very popular among holiday makers.

"There are masses of things [to do]. Obviously we have got beaches, amusement arcades, lots of national trust properties. We have got lots of picnic sites that are great and natural events," Ms Quinlan said.

She added that the area is also good for those on a budget as pastimes like nature walks and picnics are inexpensive and there are plenty of stunning areas to do these activities.

However, Paul Bunton, community project manager with the Woodland Trust, said outdoors-lovers should consider a tree-planting trip to Durham instead.
