Camping and Caravanning Club has achieved high grades in Loo of the Year Awards

Posted by Linda Davidson

A number of Camping and Caravanning Club (CCC) sites have been awarded five-star grades in the Holiday Parks and Camping and Touring Sites category of the Loo of the Year Awards.

Nineteen sites in all were granted five-star ratings including Barnard Castle, Folkestone, Salisbury and Scarborough.

The awards, which are promoted by the British Toilet Association, encourage the highest possible standards in all types of "away from home" toilets throughout the UK.

Bob Hill, CCC's sites director, said: "As a club, we pride ourselves on providing fantastic, clean facilities for all campers."

"It's encouraging to see so many of our sites achieving five-stars and this number will only increase as out £29 million site development, improvement and upgrade programme continues to enhance our facilities," he added.

The CCC will enter its five-star toilets into the competition for overall Loo of the Year, with the results due to be announced on December 3rd.
