Camping and Caravanning Club sites rewarded with high ratings

Caravan rooflights owners looking to holiday at a Camping and Caravanning Club (CCC) site will be delighted to hear that 110 club sites have been awarded high star ratings in the latest Tourist Board survey.


In the star ratings awarded by VisitEngland, VisitScotland and the Northern Irish Tourist Board, both the Bellingham and Conkers sites were upgraded to five star sites, taking the total number of CCC sites achieving five stars up to 21.


The two sites will join Barnard Castle, Blackmore, Boroughbridge, Cannock Chase, Charmouth, Delamere Forest, Delamont Country Park, Dunbar, Eskdale, Folkestone, Hereford, Kingsbury Water Park, Oswestry, Sandringham, Scarborough, Tarland, Teversal, West Runton and Windermere.


Sites director, Bob Hill was elated with the ratings and said: "It's a fantastic result for the club as a whole and it really reflects all of the hard work that we have put in to make our Club Sites safe and enjoyable holiday destinations."


The club's site network is currently undergoing a £29 million development scheme, aimed at upgrading and improving the facilities on offer.


Sites at Troutbeck, Eskdale and Teversal recently received AA five star pennants with a number of other sites being awarded four star ratings.
