Caravanners and those who own a 12v television may be on the lookout for a winter travel destination and one expert suggested that Devon could offer a great getaway after the festive season.
Ben Parkinson, online marketing executive for VisitDevon.co.uk, which offers guides and a calendar of events for tourists, said that there are plenty of activities to enjoy in Devon for those with van accessories and apparatus, even when the weather is bad.
"Plenty of attractions and activity centres offer refuge in the form of a great day out when the sun decides to hide," he added.
Mr Parkinson mentioned that the Teign Heritage Centre, Devon Guild of Craftsmen, Exeter's Underground Passages and St Nicholas Priory are good places to gain an insight into the history of the area while Crealy Adventure Park offers fun for all the family.
According to picturetheuk.com, the top places to visit in Devon are Exeter and Dartmoor National Park.
