Exmoor put forward as possible spring destination

Posted by Freddy Morton

People with van accessories and equipment like a 12v television planning their next trip in Britain should consider Exmoor in the coming months because of the range of activities it has on offer, it has been suggested.

One of the region's recommended caravan parks is the Porlock park, set into the vale of Porlock and boasting striking views over the coast.

As well as the perennial favourites of frolicking lambs and blooming flowers, spring on the moors has a selection of upcoming events which could suit a wide range of holidaymakers.

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee will spark celebrations across the region, with Minehead planning a full day of activities to mark the occasion.

Furthermore, the north Devon and Exmoor walking festival is taking place in April and May, involving a number of walks and rambles around the surrounding moors that will incorporate guides with expert knowledge of the area's history and folklore.
