Take a Caravan trip to Tallinn

Posted by Greg Throughton

Motorhome owners with a penchant for exploring far-off places may want to treat themselves to a driving trip to the Estonian capital Tallinn, home to one of Northern Europe's best preserved medieval walled cities.

However, before committing to such an excursion, it may be wise to ensure any caravan water heaters are in good working order. Preparations may include investing in Truma Ultrastore caravan water heaters.

According to Mary Stuart-Miller, UK director of tourism for the Estonian Tourist Board, the Old Town part of the capital is particularly worth visiting as here can be found tall medieval buildings, cafes, bars, view points and "lots of history".

She went on to add: "A great thing to do to see the surroundings is hire a bike, or take a bike tour, there are parks nearby and Tallinn is also on the sea, so has amazing beaches."

Figures show that British visitor numbers to Estonia increased by around ten per cent in the first quarter of 2010. Many of those travelling to Estonia chose to spend time in the picturesque capital Tallinn.
