There are many ideal small touring caravans

Posted by Greg Throughton

An expert has offered advice to those looking toward an investment in a caravan or van accessories and items.

Val Chapman, associate editor of Go Caravan, said that there are a number of particular makes and models that are ideal for those new to caravanning and looking for a small touring caravan.

"Bailey's Orion range, the Swift Group's Sprites and a handful of Elddis Xplore and Avante models probably head the list of bestseller small touring caravans. There are others, of course," she suggested.

Freedom, which is made from glass reinforced plastic, is currently one of the lightest caravans on the market, while Caravelair caravans from France are some of the least expensive.

A spokesman from the technical team at the Camping and Caravanning Club also claimed that it is important to buy a caravan suitable to be towed by a car the user already owns.

He said that people ought to check size and weight restrictions for their vehicle before parting with any cash.
