Wales attracting food lovers

Posted by Linda Davidson

People who use caravan water heaters could be among the increasing number of tourists being drawn to Wales by the region's culinary delights.

Wales is becoming a big attraction for food lovers, according to Mike Morgan, spokesperson for Welsh Rarebits, who explained that areas such as Monmouthshire are particularly popular.

Those fitting Truma Therme caravan water heaters to their holiday home will be interested to hear that Wales also boasts events such as the upcoming Abergavenny food festival, which could lure more people south of the border.

Mr Morgan explained: "There are lots of food festivals which draw people in from outside. Abergavenny is a great example; the Cardigan Bay seafood festival is fantastic as well."

Local food producers, chefs and performers will be among those gracing the 12th Abergavenny food festival, which will be held on September 18th and 19th 2010.

An increasing number of Brits are now touring UK tourism hotspots thanks to the staycation trend.
